Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Smart Door website, products, and platform (the "Service"), operated by Smart Door ("we", "us", "our") from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India.

By placing an order, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

Smart Door provides AI-powered smart nameplates and a visitor management platform that masks your phone number from visitors, logs visitors via QR code scan, and routes calls to you or designated family members.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law to use the Service.

3. Account & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your PIN and account credentials
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You agree to provide accurate, current information during registration

4. Orders, Pricing & Payment

Prices are listed in INR (with multi-currency display for reference only) and are subject to change
Payment is processed via Razorpay; by placing an order you agree to Razorpay's terms as well
An order is confirmed only upon successful payment capture
We reserve the right to cancel orders suspected of fraud, with a full refund

5. Subscriptions & Renewals

The Smart Door nameplate hardware is a one-time purchase; the visitor-management software requires an active subscription
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date from your dashboard
Renewal reminders are sent via email/WhatsApp before each renewal
Failure to renew may result in suspension of call masking and visitor logging features (the physical nameplate continues to function for direct visitor scanning)

6. Refunds & Cancellations

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

7. Shipping

Shipping terms are governed by our Shipping Policy.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. See our Acceptable Use Policy for details.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software, and design on the Service are owned by Smart Door or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute any part of the Service without written permission.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers (Razorpay, Exotel, Twilio, Supabase, Resend, Groq). We are not responsible for outages or failures originating from these third parties, though we will make reasonable efforts to maintain fallback routing and notify affected users.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smart Door shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including missed calls, delayed visitor notifications, or communication provider outages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is". While we take security seriously, Smart Door is a visitor-notification and call-masking aid, not a substitute for locks, alarms, or other physical home security measures.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or fraudulent activity. You may close your account at any time by contacting support.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
